Paralegal The candidate will under the supervision of legal counsel, establish, maintain, and organize legal entities by drafting corporate resolutions, preparing meeting materials, updating organizational charts, filing annual reports, and managing books and records. Under the supervision of legal counsel, review and revise standard legal documents like non-disclosure agreements, general terms and conditions, and powers of attorney. Conduct legal research and due diligence related to unique legal issues and corporate development projects. Gather and organize legal documents like commercial contracts and corporate records using internal databases and relevant third-party software. At the request of legal counsel, prepare internal reports regarding ongoing matters, contingent liabilities, and pending and threatened litigation. Provide general administrative support to the Legal Department by organizing legal invoices, making travel arrangements and acting as a Public Notary.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should be North Carolina Certified Paralegal in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar, or another jurisdictional equivalent. Should have 3 years of relevant experience as a practicing paralegal. Commissioned and registered as a North Carolina Notary Public. Proficient with Microsoft™ Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with corporate law and regulatory filings strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Organized, analytical, and inquisitive nature. Trustworthy, reliable, and dependable, team player. Takes pride in and ownership of work product. Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing demands. Independent and self-motivated.
