Legal Assistant Duties: Transcribing, drafting, editing, proofreading and filing pleadings with State and Federal courts, scheduling depositions, sending subpoenas, maintaining electronic and physical files, research, expense reports, entering daily time for attorneys and maintaining attorney calendars. Will also assist with attorney marketing and presentation materials. will support several attorneys.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 3+ years’ Litigation Practice Group experience. Marketing/PR experience a plus. Strong understanding of Federal, State and local court rules and procedures. Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and use of the Internet to research and create documents and materials, experience with document management is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Able to work independently as well as with a team.
