Job Overview: A leading immigration law firm is seeking a Removal Immigration Associate to join its team. This position involves representing clients in removal proceedings before immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and Federal Courts. The role may also include handling asylum cases, border representation, criminal alien detention, and related matters. The ideal candidate is a law school graduate or practicing attorney with a passion for immigration law and a strong desire to advocate for clients facing removal.

Location:

• Farmington Hills, MI

Duties:

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Advocate for clients in asylum cases, border representation, and criminal alien removal or detention cases.
• Handle cases involving criminal alien detention and removal proceedings.
• Prepare legal arguments and documents to present before federal courts as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure the best outcomes for clients.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in immigration laws and policies to provide informed legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Law school graduate or practicing attorney.
• Strong interest in specializing in removal defense and immigration law.
• Demonstrated commitment to advocating for immigrants and understanding the value of immigration.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar admission in any . jurisdiction is preferred but not required at the time of application.
