Law Clerk (2018/19 Internship), Summer 2019 Responsibilities: Conducting legal research across a wide variety of substantive areas with a particular focus on education law, corporate law, contracts, and tax-exempt organization law with an opportunity to create a writing sample. Producing high-quality written communication for different constituencies within the organization, including training materials and presentations related to various areas of legal compliance. Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree. Enrolled in law school and actively pursuing a J.D. with at least 1 year of law school complete. 3.2 GPA or above in law school. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, impact-focused environment. Discretion, ownership, and initiative to independently drive projects forward. Commitment to educational equity. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong research skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint. Access to Lexis/Nexis or Westlaw. Schedule: 2 days/week
