United States Immigration Counsel Manager The candidate will support immigration compliance and ensure effective legal support for immigration matters in the US. Will act as legal advisor on immigration law issues to executives in People Mobility, other Corporate functions, business leaders and to Legal leads. Assure high quality compliance with US immigration laws by providing immigration law support appropriate to needs, and integrating external support as required. Provide legal advice on a variety of immigration topics to various stakeholders including ET&I, People Mobility, Employee Relations, Human Resources, Legal and management. Provide immigration advice on contract and deal-related matters, including M&A activity. Act as legal advisor on immigration compliance to executives, including Legal professionals. Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into company's practices. Contribute to development of internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on legal and business issues around immigration compliance. Provide legal support in the event of an audit and assist and coordinate on immigration risk reviews. Conduct research on complex legal issues affecting the company and assist in global immigration projects as necessary. Counsel, guide, train and support junior through senior levels of Legal attorneys as appropriate. Make recommendations and escalate material immigration law issues to the Senior Counsel, North America Immigration Law and the Managing Director - Employment Law and Immigration. Should have a Law/J.D. degree and be admitted to the practice of law in a US state. Must have 5+ years of experience practicing US immigration law, including experience advising management of large companies.
