Estates and Trusts Paralegal The candidate must have 5 years of law firm experience in Estate and Trust Administration. Must be able to manage multiple estates and trusts, work directly with clients and beneficiaries, verify asset information, prepare and file probate documents and handle probate administration from start to finish. Must have experience with general bookkeeping for estates and trusts including posting securities transactions. Experience preparing federal/Maryland estate tax returns preferred. Will consider candidate without legal background who possesses minimum 5 years accounting experience.

Management needs to be trained so that they perform a better job of supervising staff members. Partners should continue to mentor and train others.

Pros : The law firm is an environment made up of partners that are professionals. Partners leave themselves open to train and mentor others. Great focus on ethics and proper treatment of other staff.
Cons : There should be a focus on increasing the salary for staff. Management lacks in the area of supervising staff members. Other firms sometimes hire current staff with higher pay.
