ProfileAttorney II -- Temporary Solutions The candidate will be assigned to the Department of Justice/Litigation. This position is required in order to provide legal support as provided by G.S. 97-94. This attorney assists the Industrial Commission in conducting investigations and bringing civil or administrative proceedings to collect penalties and restitution from persons who violate the Workers' Compensation Fraud Statute. Will provide legal assistance to the Industrial Commission and enable the Commission to enforce the statute as directed by the General Assembly. Will have extensive and expert knowledge of the N.C. Rules of Civil Procedure, the N.C. Rules of Evidence, the Tort Claims Act, the Workers' Compensation Act, the N.C. Rules of Appellate Procedure, and any other related statute, regulation or code. Will be well-versed in legal research and writing, oral advocacy, and overall litigation strategies. Should have completed Graduation from a recognized school of law and 1 year of professional legal experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have License to practice law in the State of North Carolina. Closing Date: 03/22/18 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
