Senior Corporate Counsel - Compliance and Data Privacy
The candidate will report to the Director - Assistant General Counsel and will help develop, maintain and coordinate compliance programs and policies for company's data privacy obligations, as well as regulatory obligations such as anti-corruption, anti-trust, U.S. embargoes, economic sanctions, anti-money laundering regulations, and import/export trade regulations. Work collaboratively with lawyers and business partners to maintain, improve and coordinate compliance programs and policies for Delta's data privacy and regulatory obligations. Monitor company's programs, policies, and practices to ensure adherence to ongoing compliance and data privacy laws. Stay informed on changes in relevant regulations. Respond to new and emerging compliance risks and regulatory trends. Partner with legal and business subject matter experts to develop compliance and privacy training materials and deliver live training sessions. Support coordination of the Delta Risk, Privacy, and Compliance Council and its Working Committee. Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution. Assist in building effective and practical solutions for business units to manage compliance risks. Assist in responding to compliance and data privacy-related customer/public inquiries. Conduct legal research relating to compliance and data privacy, and liaise with outside counsel. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Law degree with excellent academic credentials. Licensed to practice law in the U.S. Must have 5+ years of practicing law (in law firm(s) and/or in-house experience). Experience with compliance and data privacy in recent or current role. Possess exceptional legal capabilities and judgment required. Ability to prioritize and drive multiple initiatives to conclusion in a timely manner. Organizational and project management skills essential. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) are must.
