Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, seeks a highly skilled Securitization / Structured Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in securitization, structured finance, structured products, corporate, and real estate. Experience with CLO, CMBS, Repo, and other asset-based lending (ABL) finance is highly desirable. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and a strong background in law firm work.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on securitization and structured finance transactions
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents related to structured finance and securitization
  • Conduct due diligence and manage transaction processes
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate and real estate finance matters
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to structure and close complex transactions
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing strategic legal advice
  • Support business development activities, including client pitches and presentations
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the firm

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of substantial experience in securitization, structured finance, structured products, corporate, and real estate law
  • Strong understanding of CLO, CMBS, Repo, and other ABL finance transactions
  • Excellent academic credentials from a top law school
  • Solid work experience in a reputable law firm
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New York

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York State Bar

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of New York
