Special Corporate Compliance
The candidate will provide duties include: Conducts research to locate new mandates and regulations as they are issued as well as gather any guidance or interpretation regarding the mandate or regulation. Assists with the preparation of summaries and issuance of notice of the mandate or regulation to the organization as appropriate. Provides guidance during implementation of mandates and regulatory initiatives. Collaborates with the business to provide an understanding of requirements and seeks outside assistance from regulators, trade organizations, Government Relations or Legal, as needed. Monitors data for completion of tasks related to regulatory requirements and works with the business to track for completion. Assists in preparation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for any compliance issues identified with a particular business unit. Assists to ensure root cause analysis is completed and that the corrective action taken is intended to prevent future occurrences. Assists with following up with the business unit to ensure that the CAP gets completed in a timely manner. Identifies any monitoring or auditing that may be necessary as a follow up. Assists with responses for consumer complaints from external governmental entities. Assists with investigation to understand the facts and reviews the internal communications for appropriate responses that clearly identify the summary of facts and articulate responses that clearly express our position, are relevant and comprehensive. Watches for trends to facilitate corrective actions as necessary. Assists in the preparation and coordination of regulatory filings (such as the Deficit Reduction Act) and facilitates regulatory audits (Department of Health Article 44 Audit) and other regulatory matters as required. Assists with the development and implementation of compliance formal risk assessments. Coordinates risk assessment responses and provide reporting for identification of higher risk concerns. Assists with the development of an audit work plan for Compliance. Provides auditing activities as needed. Conducts annual review of departmental and corporate policies, procedures, forms, logs, and documentation related to Privacy and Compliance. Develops, maintains and manages the implementation and operation of internal monitoring programs to provide critical assessments of the results and effectiveness of this aspect of the Compliance Program. Develops monitoring strategy and works with business and support units to produce internal monitoring reports. Identifies new or enhanced internal monitoring using a risk based approach. Reviews monitoring reports, works to resolve issues, escalates issues appropriately, and maintains documentation for reporting purposes and tracking for effectiveness. Coordinates projects and tasks with Compliance and Privacy staff as may be assigned by the Compliance Officer. Performs other duties as required.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have associates Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related area of study. Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies is preferred. Have 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in compliance or audit in a regulatory environment is preferred. Must have an Associate's Degree with 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in compliance or audit in a regulatory environment. Must have project coordination skills including strong follow-up, meeting facilitation and risk assessment/mitigation. Must have ability to effectively and collaboratively work with all levels of the Health Now organization, as well as other organizations. Must have ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. Must have ability to independently follow-up on outstanding items. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including by phone, email, correspondence and documentation. Must have ability to learn new system applications with an emphasis on the customer service, group, subscriber/family and member notes applications. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) with intermediate proficiency, including ability to use advanced formatting.
