Policy Counsel Duties: Research, analyze and develop state, federal, and global policy issues related to kids, tech, media, and education—and track legislative, regulatory, and industry developments. Support policy experts in areas of privacy, technology and media, connectivity, and children’s wellbeing and develop expertise in one or more of the areas. Work with high profile players to build and improve policies and legislation to connect all communities, to protect children’s privacy and online experiences, to help families navigate the digital world, and to support all kids learning and thriving.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in law firm, government, or advocacy organization. Experience in privacy, connectivity, technology, education, and/or children’s policy issues. Superior analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional written communication skills, capable of drafting policy briefs, bill, and case law analysis, and communications for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. blogs, letters, explainers).
