Senior Paralegal - Corporate
The Candidate will be responsible to research and track governance trends, shareholder priorities and shareholder positions on various ESG issues to stay abreast of matters that may impact McKesson, as needed. Help develop best practices for addressing emerging governance issues. Assist with SEC filings and development of corporate responsibility report. Draft communications and materials bound for and presentations to McKesson’s C-suite and Board of Directors. Assist with the development, implementation, management, and execution of shareholder outreach strategy. Create briefing documents to prepare Shareholder Engagement team, executives and/or Board members for shareholder meetings by researching and reviewing information (e.g., voting guidelines, voting histories, articles, white papers, shareholder proposals and proxy statements), and distilling key points. Help cultivate and maintain relationships with shareholders. Drive and manage logistics for shareholder “road shows”, with assistance from team administrative assistant. Maintain document management system.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have degree with paralegal certificate or other graduate degree desirable and must have 7+ years of relevant experience. Experience in Corporate Governance, Communications, Law or Project Management highly desirable. Exposure to Environmental Social Governance (ESG) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues. Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point required. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with shareholders and senior executives. Excellent interpersonal skills. Keen attention to detail; Excellent research skills. Superior ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner. Highly responsive, proactive, solutions-oriented approach. Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced team environment. Prior experience with or exposure to Corporate Governance matters highly preferred. Familiarity with NetDocuments software helpful.
