While prior experience in criminal law or dependency law is not required, new Bar passers are encouraged to apply. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in criminal defense cases, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
• Prepare and file legal documents, such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on criminal charges and potential defenses.
• Negotiate settlements and plea deals with opposing counsel and prosecutors.
• Advocate on behalf of clients during court appearances and hearings.
• Develop case strategies and ensure the effective presentation of evidence.
• Stay informed about changes in criminal law and legal precedents.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Recent law school graduates and new Bar passers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong commitment to criminal defense and advocacy.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in criminal and dependency law.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar or pending admission.
