Technology Transfer and Agreement Specialist The candidate will oversee, as well as, negotiate, process, and manage Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and federal and non-federal sponsored research and collaboration agreements with external parties, including Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, Strategic Partnership Projects Agreements. Coordinate with technical staff to develop contracting parameters and requirements. Handle complex agreement negotiations and a high volume of transactions. Organize, oversee and perform multiple tasks, assess priorities and meet deadlines. Works closely with firm attorneys and researchers to resolve agreement negotiation issues. Maintaining liaison with sponsoring agencies concerning firm sponsored programs and related policies and procedures; representing firm in negotiations with sponsoring agencies to assure consistent contract provisions and policies; proactively resolving problems. In cooperation with other firm offices, assuring compliance with sponsor’s policies, e.g., fiscal, property, and intellectual property.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must have Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience Or, relevant Master's Degree and 7 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience Or, relevant PhD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience Or, relevant JD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Should have extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Considered internal subject matter expert. Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field is required. Excellent leadership, project management and problem solving skills. Ability to use various computer software programs is needed. Experience in a national lab or governmental environment is preferred. Experience in sponsored research project agreement negotiation and administration is desired. Experience working with multi-functional groups and developing professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is a plus. Experience in maintaining records in an agreements database and generating sophisticated reports is helpful.
