A law firm seeks a dedicated Estates & Trusts Attorney to join their team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will assist with orphans' court litigation related to estates, trusts, and guardianships, as well as estate planning and administration. This role involves client interaction, courtroom representation, and legal research and writing. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for helping clients, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to think critically and solve complex legal problems.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in orphans' court litigation involving estates, trusts, and guardianships.
  • Assist with estate planning and administration, ensuring legal documents are prepared and executed properly.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their needs and provide legal counsel.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and guardianship agreements.
  • Attend court hearings and represent clients in litigation matters.
  • Guide clients on matters related to estate and trust administration.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive legal services for clients.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in estates, trusts, and probate law, including orphans' court litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a case from start to finish, including client meetings and court appearances.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence in client interaction and the ability to build trust.
  • Solid analytical and research abilities to support case strategy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (PA Bar License required).

Skills:

  • Proficient in estate and trust law, including guardianships, estate planning, and administration.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
  • Strong courtroom presence and ability to advocate for clients.
  • Exceptional client service skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
