Litigation Legal Assistant The candidate will be managing files for litigation matters. Preparing pleadings, discovery demands, discovery responses and other litigation documents at the request of the attorney. Preparation of materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials to assist attorneys. Ability to prioritize work load based on deadlines. Communicate with attorneys to assist in all aspect of litigation. Must have Transcription experience. Personal Injury experience required. Must have excellent communication skills. Should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of ProLaw a plus. Must have advanced knowledge and successful experience in managing a full case load from inception to post- trial. Should have 5+ years of experience working in a defense law firm. Must be highly organized with strong communication skills and fully computer literate. Must be proficient in Word/Outlook and Excel and able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, other attorneys and staff. Must also be capable of typing/preparing pleadings, correspondence and other documents. Excellent organizational skills is a must to file, scan, keep client files up to date, schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, and maintain the attorney’s calendar.
