Organization is seeking a passionate and experienced Sr. Supervising Attorney/Program Director to join their team in Brooklyn, New York. This individual will be responsible for managing and supervising the Community Economic Development (CED) program, providing high-quality legal services to low- and moderate-income individuals and families, as well as nonprofit community-based organizations and small business owners. This position offers a competitive salary of $176,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer paid health insurance, 27 days of annual vacation, and a 401(k) matching contribution. This is a hybrid in-office/remote work position.

The ideal candidate for this role will have 5+ years of experience in applicable transactional law practice, as well as experience representing nonprofit small businesses and community organizations. They will also have strong public speaking and writing skills, as well as experience leading and supervising a team. Admission to the bar of the State of New York or eligibility for admission is required.

The Sr. Supervising Attorney/Program Director will report to the Chief Legal Officer and will be responsible for supervising program attorneys and paralegals, managing the execution of the Small Business Services Commercial Lease Assistance program, and overseeing community legal education efforts. They will also represent the organization to funders, elected officials, and government agencies, and develop pro bono partnerships with legal firms. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for creating and managing the program budget, drafting and coordinating preparation of program materials for grant reporting and development proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
