Legal Assistant - Litigation The candidate will be responsible for claims and Office Administration & Management. Open, maintain and close physical and electronic claim files. Serve as administrator of claims management system. Process claim expenses (invoices, expense reports, intercompany charges), and enter in claims management system. Coordinates multi-party appearances, such as depositions, mediations, meetings, and site inspections. Handle typical office administrative functions for department (correspondence, receiving and processing mail, filing, supplies, copying, expense reporting, scheduling, calendaring). General assistance and support for department.. Research and update historical company & product information. Product-related assistance in claim investigations and lawsuits. Communicate with company personnel, consultants and venders.. Prepare periodic reports for counsel, senior management, auditors and accountants. Prepare presentations for Senior Management and for training sessions. SIR / Aggregate Administration. The candidate should have 2 year college degree with 3+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant at a law firm or in-house legal department. Should have Exceptional oral and written communication skills and Analysis, research and refined organizational skills. Must have basic understanding of legal principles pertaining to litigation. Proficient in word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications and a variety of information systems.
