Associate Attorney (Contract) The candidate will be responsible for responding to discovery requests and third party subpoenas. Establish factual background related to employment disputes. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Conducting witness interviews for employment litigation matters; Collecting, compiling and reviewing documents and data for discovery responses; Liaising with outside counsel; Updating matter management system with matter information as it becomes known; Responding to Subpoenas on behalf of the company; Managing and issuing legal holds; Other assignments as deemed necessary.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctorate or equivalent. 1-3 years legal experience. Must have basic understanding of employment litigation process in the U.S., particularly Texas and Louisiana. Litigation background a plus. Labor & employment law a plus. Must be proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with document review platforms (Relativity), matter management applications (TyMetrix) a plus.
