ProfileMedical Malpractice Paralegal The candidate will schedule and calendar examinations under oath, depositions, sworn statements, inspections, mediations, hearings, telephone conferences, and deadlines. Will draft correspondence to clients, judges, opposing counsel, experts and adjusters. Draft motions to compel, for telephone appearance, extensions of time, and protective orders. Draft complaints, civil cover sheets,, summons, subpoenas, notices, initial discovery, responses to discovery, witness and exhibit lists, proposed orders, joint stipulations and privilege logs. Draft letters of representation requesting copies of policy, correspondence and reports. File pleadings, motions and notices. Retain the services of interpreters, court reporters, videographers, process servers. Prepare HIPPA releases for client execution. Obtain medical records as needed. Communicate with clients, adjusters, experts, defense counsel staff and judicial assistants as needed. Provide status updates to clients and adjusters as need ed. Preparation and assistance at trial Hearing. Must have 5 years of litigation/plaintiff medical malpractice experience.
