ProfileBilingual Legal Assistant The candidate will translate oral communications between the client and the attorney, on the spot, while taking extreme care to communicate the exact messages from attorney to client, and vice versa, word for word. Will read through original material and rewrite it in the target language, ensuring that the translation is accurate and the meaning of the source text is fully retained. Maintain a positive relationship with clients while keeping their cases moving forward. Maintain knowledge about case load and the various statuses of each case. Manage exhibits submitted into evidence. Interact with officers, court staff, and other professionals. Draft a variety of legal documents including trial briefs, memoranda, letters, and orders. Draft concise, well-researched memos, briefs, and other legal documents. Keep abreast of changes in the law. Review cases of pending litigation. Prioritize work to meet deadlines. Update job knowledge by seeking educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Accomplish law firm goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Should have 1+ year of pqe. Fluency in Spanish and English is needed. Ability to accurately translate both written and oral communication is needed. Must have translate both oral and written communications with complete accuracy.
