Labor & Employment Attorney The candidate will provide guidance and represent clients in labor law compliance and litigation, including the National Labor. Relation Act, collective bargaining, arbitration, grievances, union avoidance, union organizing campaigns and unfair labor practice charges. Provide guidance and represent clients in Occupational Safety & Health Act compliance and litigation, including on-site inspections, defense of citations and enforcement actions. Provide restrictive covenant counseling and litigation support. Handle federal and state employment-related litigation before administrative agencies, including administrative hearings in front of the Wisconsin Equal Rights Division and the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Counsel. Provide day-to-day counseling on compliance with state and federal fair employment laws with respect to personnel policies, compensation practices, internal compliant and investigation and other workforce matters. Provide support on employment matters related to corporate business transaction, including due diligence, purchase agreement drafting, pre and post-acquisition employee transitions and related employment agreements. Draft employment-related contracts, including Confidentiality Agreements, Restrictive Covenant Agreements, Independent Contractor Agreements, and Employment Agreements. Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to provide high quality service to the clients. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have JD degree from ABA accredited law school. Admitted to practice or eligible for admission to practice in the State of Wisconsin. Must have 6+ years as an associate at a leading law firm. Possesses superior organizational and time management skills. Detail-oriented and capable of a high degree of accuracy. Superior verbal and written communication skills and comfort with both telephonic and face-to-face communications. Proven ability to work within fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines and demands both internally and externally.
