Legal Assistant The candidate must have 3+ years of litigation experience working in a large size law firm. Should have experience providing legal and litigation support, and excellent organizational skills. Must have a solid working knowledge of general office procedures, experience handling client billing, conflict checking and file opening. Responsible for calendaring deadlines. Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, flexibility, attention to detail, with ability to assess priorities. Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Word required. Working knowledge of a document management system a plus. Must have a High School diploma or GED certificate; some business school or college desirable. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment ability to work amicably with coworkers, ability to communicate orally and in written English, perform essential duties with time constraints and interruptions, ability to maintain client confidentiality, good organizational and interpersonal communication skills, needs to be a self-starter, and ability to work overtime if necessary.
