Compliance Coordinator/Legal Assistant The candidate will provide direct administrative support to the Associate General Counsel and General Counsel and in so doing communicates with work associates across all company departments. Will have superlative organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple projects, and be a self-starter. Process all contracts including coordinating the review of multiple departments and ordering the necessary insurance, bonds, work clearances, permits, etc. Assist the Legal Department with administrative tasks such as creating enclosure letters and templates, assisting in the scanning/saving/copying/printing of legal filings, distributing the legal mail, updating the legal department's calendar, coding department invoices, etc. Provide litigation management support as needed, including document production, court filings, and project file maintenance. Perform miscellaneous tasks such as enrollment in CCIP/OCIP programs, enrollment in project specific programs, process new hire paperwork and background checks, and maintain various legal department databases including certificates of insurance and exemption certificates.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should preferably have Associates degree or higher. Previous experience in the office of a large construction, engineering, or manufacturing company is required. Individuals with experience processing large contracts for engineering or construction companies are preferred. Must have sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have familiarity with construction industry contracts and compliance, including insurance, bonds, work clearances, permits etc. Familiarity with litigation management support is required.
