Paralegal Office Assistant The candidate will provide exceptional oral and written communication for daily interaction with clientele and clinicians; schedule appointments as appropriate. Perform medical billing duties including those related to insurance coverage and bills including verification of up-to-date insurance eligibility and authorization or re-authorization in compliance with applicable state and federal requirements. Demonstrate organization, plan, follow through, and detail-oriented skills to implement efficient office and insurance procedures with accurate detail. Serve as interpreter and translate for clientele, clinicians, and agency by using multi-lingual background experience to effectively and accurately interpret in languages that may include English/Spanish, Arabic, Somalis, Swahili and more. Computer skills in preparation of pertinent documents for filing with appropriate state and federal agencies. Additional responsibilities as requested. Must possess at minimum an Associates Degree in Legal Studies, or Accounting, or Business Management or Psychology. Should have 2-5 years experience as a Paralegal Office Assistant or Office Assistant with qualifications as required for the position. CPR Certificate, is a plus. Prior medical billing with agencies and insurance carriers is required. Professional demeanor is essential for this position with effective listening skills that are welcoming and caring. Possess strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Office Works, and proficiency working with numbers and bookkeeping skills using Quickbooks are needed.
