Legal Assistant Candidate will practice includes Wills and Probate, Social Security Disability, Family Law, Auto accidents and Traffic citations. Must have: 10 years' experience as a legal assistant or 5 years' experience with strong academic credentials. Experience in handling social security disability claims and auto claims is a plus. Must have experience in requesting medical and billing records. Must be well versed in the use of ProDoc, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook (calendaring and e-mail) and the ability to E-file documents. Must be able to work efficiently and independently handling all phases of a client's case. Must also be able to work well with others, have a positive outlook and be vested in attending to the client's needs. Must be punctual and professional and must not be bashful about discussing billing matters with the client.
