Health Care Paralegal The candidate maintains and organizes litigation drive to ensure case documents are easily and promptly accessible to all team members. Coordinates, reviews and maintains project status tracking charts for matters, including any tasks and deliverable requirements. Assists in all phases of discovery, including fact gathering and analysis of documents, document productions, and preparing for depositions and witness interviews. Conducts factual research to support attorney projects. Performs cite checking and proofreading. Coordinates court and agency filings. Communicates with clients, witnesses, and other outside parties as requested or approved by attorneys. Assists attorneys with preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and subpoenas. Occasionally assists with trial preparation, including maintenance of case calendars, case files, and trial notebooks. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 5 years of experience in performing traditional, litigation paralegal functions required. Strong preference for prior experience in the health care area required. Experience preparing for and/or attending trial is a plus. Ability to perform quality control analysis and report issues with data required. Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision required. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel and Word required. Experience with e-discovery platforms (Relativity, Concordance) required.
