Global Law and Policy Operations Paralegal The candidate will provide paralegal support on a wide variety of matters and projects for the firm general counsel and legal operations team. Will coordinate with outside counsel and other external parties and serve as the initial departmental contact for any correspondence. Support the creation and review of legal documents, correspondence, and presentations relating to firm legal matters including: (a) conducting review of legal documents for purposes of proofreading, clause reference checking, and consistency; and (b) keeping detailed trackers of comments on draft legal documents and their resolution. Support the management of information and documentation relating to firm legal matters including setting up cloud platforms and folders, organizing and maintaining legal files, and retrieving archived files/information as requested. Maintain and develop internal database, trackers, and IT tools to support the needs of the legal department. Support the engagement and wing-to-wing management of outside counsel and external vendors. Manage tracking of legal matters by maintaining and monitoring calendar of cases, meeting key deadlines, and coordinating key activities and documents. Conduct research on legal issues and draft research memos related to legal matters. Attend important meetings/calls and keep notes and minutes of these meetings/calls. Support the firm general counsel and legal operations team on internal and external business presentations. Generally, manage all types of daily correspondence to ensure timely response, appropriate prioritization and attention. Support the firm general counsel and legal operations team with project management and coordination of key projects, programs and priorities. Interact with members of the global legal team, internal business staff, law firms, vendors and other external parties. Accurately follow complex processes for handling legal matters in a compliant and timely manner. Must have 5+ years of demonstrated administrative experience in a corporate or professional business environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or senior manager. Strong oral and written English communication skills, including grammar and composition. Should have excellent PC skills with advanced level skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook Mail) and previous demonstrated experience navigating the Internet effectively5. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate business issues in an easy to understand manner. Ability to move project/issue from inception to completion is required. Must have ability to accurately follow complex procedures.
