Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Trytten LLP is seeking a lateral Partner to take a leadership position in its San Diego County based estate planning practice. Come to San Diego and enjoy the good life while serving high end estate planning clients doing the most interesting work in partnership with nationally recognized experts in the estates and trusts practice. A Partner candidate does not need to have a significant book of business to be a successful candidate. We would also consider the option of Partner candidate bringing a group of professionals, provided that they satisfy firm criteria for the positions. Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Trytten has just celebrated its 21st anniversary. It is recognized nationally as a top estates and trusts firm with three ACTEC Fellows. We have offices in San Diego, Rancho Santa Fe and Pasadena, California. This position would be based out of our Rancho Santa Fe office. The firm’s San Diego County practice is under the leadership of ACTEC Fellow, Nancy G. Henderson, who is the co-founder of Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Trytten. With over 30 years of experience and a national reputation as a leader in the estate planning practice, Ms. Henderson’s group represents very high net worth clients only, providing them a high level of client service and personal touch. We are seeking a lateral partner with a growing national reputation and a desire to join Ms. Henderson in practice management and firm leadership. Our attorneys are all highly credentialed. Therefore, a successful Partner candidate will have a law degree from a top-tier law school and at least 12 years of experience in transfer tax planning and drafting, and some experience in mentorship of associates and practice management. We also require our partners to be active in the profession, and we would expect a successful candidate to either be an ACTEC fellow or to have a resume that includes significant speaking, writing and other external professional activities that would support a successful future nomination as an ACTEC Fellow. A Partner candidate would ideally already be licensed to practice law in the state of California, or have a reasonable expectation of passing the exam. We compete with large national law firms while offering a superior firm culture. We focus on doing the best work for our clients while allowing a high quality of life for our attorneys and other employees. We have a collegial and supportive work environment that is focused on respect, teamwork and an appropriate amount of fun. Our firm is extremely well run with a professional executive staff, outstanding administrative support and an open door policy. Our estate planning clients are exceptional, their needs are always interesting and intellectually challenging, and we choose to only work with pleasant people because we can. Please contact Nancy G. Henderson at nhenderson@hcesq.com. For more information about us, please visit our website at www.hcesq.com. Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Trytten LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
