Los Angeles office of our client seeks a business and capital projects consulting senior with 3 years of experience working as a Real Estate and/or Construction Management industry adviser for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or within the industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing multiple client engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm. Work with high level client personnel to deliver successful real estate development and construction projects by identifying contracting strategies, and implementing cost controls and capital management systems. Assess the client's needs by developing and overseeing construction schedules and costs. Provide guidance and share knowledge with team members and participate in performing procedures, especially focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Brief the engagement team on the client's CRE environment and trends. Maintain relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and deliverables. Demonstrate a thorough understanding on independent construction program reviews, steering committee advisory and support, ongoing project and process monitoring, and project risk assessments. Bring and utilize extensive knowledge of the client's business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts on the client's business. Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engaging team members, and use current technology/tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients. CPA/CA, JD, MRICS, PMP,LEED, PE or CCIM certification is desired. If are non-certified, you are required to become certified within 1 year from your date of hire. Significant experience in applying relevant technical knowledge in at least one of the following engagements: (a) proven project management, cost estimation, and engineering, accounting, schedule, procurement, and experience as it relates to complex commercial and/or residential construction management (b) working knowledge of one or more of the following systems: BIM, Primavera, Prolog, Skire, Tririga, or another similar Real Estate system (s) preferred.
