Profile

Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Assist with Judicial Foreclosure files. Drafting summons, complaint, defaults, prove up packages, judgments and writs. Will also update client and internal operating systems, work on court hearing dates, filings and service of pleadings.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: College degree and/or legal certificate preferred. Must have 1-3 years legal experience. Experience coordinating document exchanges between parties in mediation desirable. Experience in the civil litigation environment, preferably creditors rights. Basic knowledge of legal practices and procedures with regards to judicial foreclosure work. Familiarity with legal and/or mortgage databases. Strong skill set with learning new computer software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel is necessary. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced and frequently changing environment. Attention to detail and excellent organization and time management skills. Strong customer interface skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interest in becoming an integral team player of a well-established but innovative law firm.
