Paralegal The candidate will prepare wills, trusts, irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney. Handle the transferring of assets into established trusts. Work with attorneys to formulate new plans or update existing plans. Communicate with clients on a day-to-day basis. Communicate with clients, banks, brokerage firms, and appraisers to transfer and value a client s and a decedent s assets. Prepare gift and estate tax returns and file with appropriate taxing authorities. Prepare probate pleadings for estates and guardianships/conservatorships, and file same with the Arizona Superior Court in the county of domicile. Work with attorneys to prepare accountings and plans of division and handle the funding of trusts. Administer trust-related matters, including the preparation of reformations, settlement agreements, etc., both judicial and non-judicial.
The candidate must have a four-year bachelor s degree and must have a paralegal certification and experience in estate planning, probate, and estate administration. Bank, trust company or law office experience. BA/BS/Undergraduate preferred. At least 1-2 Years of related experience required. Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Client relationship skills and problem solving skills. Case and database management experience. Is a detail-oriented person and appreciates processes and procedures. Technical writing, drafting, and organizational skills are a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment. Likes to work in a team. Experience with Timeslips, TimeMatters, Lacerte, NumberCruncher, and RIA Checkpoint applications a plus.
