Corporate Paralegal The candidate performs legal research and investigations for legal department staff. Investigates assigned complaints, such as BBB, CFPB, or AG regulatory complaints, elevated customer complaints, credit bureau reporting complaints, and threats of suit. Drafts and coordinates timely responses to above complaints with legal department. Coordinates timely reporting of incoming complaints with the Security and Compliances Department to ensure accurate compliance with corporate reporting. Assists with litigation management, including initial investigation and preparation of discovery responses. Assists with preparation and processing of settlements, leases, special projects and miscellaneous requests to the legal department. Maintains all procedures in accordance with company policies to ensure a high level of customer service. Prompt and regular attendance is required. Should have 5+ years of paralegal experience, with at least 3 years in a comparable work environment. Experience in financial services related fields is preferred. Experience with state licensing process is preferred. Spanish language skills is a plus. Should be Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and a document management system. Must have Degree in paralegal studies from an accredited school or equivalent applicable work experience.
