Job Overview

A well-regarded law firm is seeking a Junior-to-Mid-Level Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its Restructuring & Insolvency practice group. This role will be based in the Philadelphia office. The successful candidate will focus on corporate and commercial restructuring, loan workouts, bankruptcy litigation, and distressed transactions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in Chapter 11 cases, lender remedies, and insolvency-related matters while working with a dynamic team of professionals.

Duties

  • Handle corporate and commercial restructuring and insolvency matters, including Chapter 11 cases.
  • Draft loan and security documents for distressed transactions.
  • Assist with bankruptcy litigation and exercise lender remedies in both state and federal courts.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
  • Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys on various restructuring and insolvency-related matters.
  • Work directly with clients, providing clear legal counsel and support during complex transactions and disputes.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency, or bankruptcy law.
  • Familiarity with loan workouts and corporate trust default administration.
  • Experience in Chapter 11 cases and bankruptcy litigation is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state.

Skills

  • Strong drafting skills, particularly related to loan and security agreements.
  • Experience with corporate and commercial restructuring and insolvency matters.
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy law and litigation procedures.
  • Proficient in managing complex cases and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
