ProfileDirector, Internet Policy and Industry Affairs The candidate will create and capture Internet and ICANN policy strategies for MarkMonitor and their clients and track performance related to impact and execution. Will draft and comment upon policies affecting the protection of intellectual property rights on the Internet. Participate in multiple stakeholder groups and working groups at ICANN. Follow governmental, legal and regulatory developments. Write content that supports MarkMonitor and their clients and exerts influence at ICANN and other regulatory bodies.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have 3+ years’ experience defending IP rights holders interests on the internet. Should have BA or BS degree. Must have experience with working in a team environment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. ICANN community experience is required. Experience in drafting policy and comments is required. Must have the ability to defend IP rights holder’s interests on the Internet. Must be familiar with ICANN and its multi-stakeholder model. Outstanding written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate at ease with Senior Executives and decision makers is required. Juris Doctorate or graduate degree in law and/or public policy is preferred.
