Legal Administration DUTIES: Responsible for all legal administrative duties which result in a wage garnishment or bank levy. (Post Judgment). Responsible for all legal administrative duties from filing and service of a lawsuit through obtaining default judgment ( File & Service Default). Responsible for handling all litigation support duties including supporting attorneys and supervising legal assistants in all aspects of California civil procedure from entry of an answer or responsive pleading through trial preparation including preparing CCP 98 declarations (Contested Legal Assistance). Assist in preparing legal documents including motions and briefs. Prepare written reports and correspondence. Organize and track case files. Locate and communicate with witnesses. Maintain reference files. Perform trial preparation. Manage legal forms and documents for accuracy. Perform factual research. Perform records research. Maintains professional appearance and neat work area. Marginal Duties include the following.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree, or Paralegal Certification Preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a legal setting. Knowledge of complete cycle of legal procedure from filing of suit through default judgment. Strong knowledge of skip tracing tools. Knowledge of basic civil litigation. Strong knowledge of FDCPA laws. Read and comprehend credit reports, bankruptcy documentation, and debtor correspondences. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOP Standard Operating Procedures and procedure manuals.
