IP Assistant / IP Paralegal Duties: Assist with the drafting and filing of various legal documents related to patent prosecution including information disclosure statements. Prepare and forward client reporting letters for various official correspondence. Maintain knowledge of specific client requirements and needs for filing and reporting of documents. Maintain file integrity and assist in monitoring compliance with due dates. Provide follow-up service regarding due dates to clients by telephone, e-mail or letters. Prioritize workload to meet filing deadlines and due dates. Interact with staff, attorneys and legal personnel on a daily basis. Maintain filing docket as necessary for work assignments. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Manager. Complete assigned work in a careful, expeditious and professional manner. Maintain a high-quality work product and ability to schedule work to meet deadlines and perform job responsibilities under pressure efficiently, productively and in a professional manner.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate with Bachelorâ€™s degree is required. 1-2 years in an IP environment or professional office environment is preferred. Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and be able to manage multiple tasks on a daily basis, including meeting strict deadlines. Must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational, written and oral communication skills, and be a team player. It is critical to have solid proofreading skills and an understanding of the need for producing error-free work results. should be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
