Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university; may substitute full-time Child Support Program, credit collections, investigations, legal assistant, legal secretary, IV-A eligibility specialist or closely related experience for the required education on a year-for-year basis. 2 years full-time Child Support Program, credit collections, investigations, legal assistant, legal secretary, IV-A eligibility specialist or closely related experience of which 1 of the 2 years of experience must be as a Child Support Officer or an equivalent position in a IV-D agency or private sector is required. Knowledge of investigative practices and techniques. Knowledge of child support policies, procedures and processes. Skill in effective oral and written communication. Skill in negotiating and interviewing. Skill in using a computer for word processing and data entry/retrieval. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Ability to type 35 wpm.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Ability to read, write, speak Spanish.
