ProfileRaleigh office of our client seeks litigation attorney with 2+ years of experience. The candidate will review and investigate family law cases in North Carolina. Will vet each potential cases and determine whether the matter is worth signing. Consider family law disputes and cases for litigation in both state and federal cases. Manage the family law cases through the various phases of the pre-litigation and litigation, including investigation, discovery, settlement, pleadings, motions, pre-trial hearings, trial and appeal. Review, investigate and evaluate potential cases. Present evidence and prepare evidence in the development of case structure and theories for the benefit of the client. Study and comprehend the U.S. Constitution, State Constitution, States, Case Decisions, Regulations, and ordinances of judicial and quazi-judicial bodies to determine case theories, defenses, and ramifications. Analyze the probable outcome of cases from facts presented by clients, using knowledge of the law and legal precedent. Ability to engage in discussions with other lawyers about legal precedent, case facts, and discovery issues in a professional manner. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments. Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery and legal documents such as complaints, answers, interrogatories, request for production of documents, admissions and motions. Work in a fast pace legal environment where deadlines are extremely important and mistakes are costly. Must be licensed in good standing - North Carolina.
