Business Immigration Paralegal The candidate will help in the preparation and filing of petitions: temporary nonimmigrant visa applications and labor certification/permanent residence (green card) applications. Independently compiles and analyzes case facts, drafts correspondence, maintains and organizes client documentation. Maintains direct contact with multiple attorneys. Researches law, investigates facts, and independently identifies issues to provide quality legal services to business immigration clients and attorneys. Applies procedural knowledge to successfully process the filing of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions. Analyzes case files and prepares drafts of various legal documents, including government forms, specialized support letters, and affidavits to be filed with various federal agencies. Oversees status of cases using VisaTrax, monitors and prioritizes workload, production and billing. Organizes case files and set calendar deadlines accordingly, while providing updates to clients and attorneys. Assist Attorney in preparation for client meetings and conference calls. Manages high volume of projects at any given time, effectively and efficiently, to meet changing deadlines and priorities. Prepares work product with high attention to detail and with few or no errors. Provides high-touch client service by regularly communicating and collaborating with clients and attorneys.

The candidate should have a Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university preferred. 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a corporate immigration practice. Applies experience and knowledge of immigration regulations and laws to spot issues and work with attorneys to develop strategy. Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom/Visatrax and Document Management System. Able to operate multi-line phone, calculator, blackberry, cell phone, copier, fax, scanner. Multilingual skills are a plus. Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must be willing to work overtime, as needed.
