Job Overview

An established law firm specializing in insurance defense and civil litigation is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters, including appellate work, insurance cases, and general civil litigation. Duties

• Handle insurance defense cases, including depositions, motions practice, mediation, and arbitration.
• Manage various phases of civil litigation, from case initiation to trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient case management.
• Engage in effective communication with clients and provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of litigation experience.
• Familiarity with all phases of civil litigation, including depositions, motions, and trials.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle pressure, and take responsibility for client matters.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work cooperatively with support staff.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Washington State Bar Admission or eligibility to obtain membership via reciprocity.
