Job Title: Data Privacy and Compliance Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an experienced attorney with 2-5 years of transactional experience, particularly in the area of data privacy laws. This role involves working with complex regulatory frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA, drafting and negotiating legal agreements, and providing counsel on privacy and data security issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication abilities to clearly explain complex legal concepts.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and advice on data privacy and compliance matters, particularly about GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other privacy laws.
• Draft and negotiate agreements, specifically focusing on privacy and data security provisions.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced legal environment.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with evolving privacy regulations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex privacy issues.
• Communicate legal principles clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in transactional law, with a focus on privacy and data compliance.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly related to privacy and security agreements.
• Ability to manage several projects at once, while maintaining high-quality work.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Ohio Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

• Expertise in GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other privacy frameworks.
• Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
