The candidate will be responsible for providing administrative/clerical support to our Consumer Collection’s paralegals and attorneys. Duties include documentation preparation, processing mail, data entry, answering phones and other clerical duties assigned by the department. The incumbent for this position is gradually taught all aspects of the litigation process for Consumer Collections. Review and organize lawsuit paper files to ensure that appropriate case information and legal documents are maintained. Prepare and review case letters and pleadings. Provide assistance with electronic case management tasks by reviewing and sorting scanned documentation and updating diary codes in client database. Provide other administrative/clerical tasks as assigned by the section manager. 2 year college degree or Paralegal Certification preferred. Basic understanding of the litigation process a plus. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Corel products to include WordPerfect, Word, Outlook and Excel. 6 months to 1 year administrative/clerical support experience a plus.
