ProfileReal Estate Paralegal The candidate handles the review and compliance of various documents supporting the real estate acquisition process, including, but not limited to: title commitments, surveys, title documents, executed contracts, leases, and other legal due diligence materials and supporting documentation. Handles condemnation matters as needed. Drafts closing documents, contract amendments, easements, objection letters, and other documents related to the acquisition and disposition of real estate. Updates and maintains lists of critical contract and transaction dates and circulates lists, dates, and deadlines to Real Estate and Development team, Corporate Counsel, and other project personnel. Serves as a point of communication with the title company to obtain title documents, facilitate closings, and resolve title issues. Creates organizes and maintains a legal file for each location to be acquired, sold, or leased. Works closely with Corporate Counsel and other department personnel to handle issues and conflicts throughout each transaction's lifecycle (including post-closing). Develops and maintains an overall knowledge of the real estate processes, procedures, and documentation requirements within each applicable state. Works within the guidelines and requirements established in the Service Level Agreement for the Legal Department.
