ERISA Subrogation Paralegal Duties: Review and open case files. Prepare correspondence, memos and other subrogation/reimbursement/collection-related documents. Maintain file status and utilize electronic log format. Interact directly with attorneys and other paralegals (inside/outside the firm), insurance companies, Plan office representatives and Trustees. Obtain information and records from clients and adverse parties in connection with file monitoring from case inception to closing. Assist with the overall management of subrogation workflow and consult with attorneys and other team members. Manage multiple projects and prepare reports related to collections and recoveries on an ongoing basis. Assist timekeepers with administrative-type duties.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: Excellent academic credentials - at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree and a Paralegal Certificate (or equivalent). with 3-5 years of experience to work as a full time Subrogation Paralegal. A litigation/personal injury/insurance claim/workers’ compensation background. Demonstrated familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook as well as general computer skills are required. Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines. Must be comfortable working independently and in a team atmosphere, and possess effective and confident oral and written communication skills.
