Duties

  • Lead and manage antitrust merger investigations, including Second Request compliance.
  • Manage a 2R review process, including leading teams of associates and contract attorneys.
  • Advise clients on antitrust implications of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including briefs, motions, and responses to government requests.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal teams to develop strategies and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in negotiations and represent clients in government investigations and proceedings.
  • Stay updated on developments in antitrust law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements

  • 1-6 years of experience in antitrust law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience with Second Request compliance, including managing the process and leading teams.
  • Knowledge of antitrust laws and regulations related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, government regulators, and colleagues.
  • Experience in the tech and life sciences sectors is preferred, but not required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications and Skills

  • Active member of the relevant State Bar(s).
  • Superior analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills, particularly in managing teams of associates and contract attorneys.
