Paralegal and Special Projects Fellow Fellow will be required to work 0-30 hours per week at a schedule mutually agreed upon by the Fellow and company. Will assist both the legal division and the operations division with legal and strategic operations projects. Report directly to both the Senior Associate General Counsel and Director of Strategic Initiatives, and will have the opportunity to work with the General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer, and other members of the company senior team. The Fellow will get an introduction to legal administration, the role and duties of in-house counsel work, and the organization’s operations and strategic business initiatives. Provide paralegal assistance on corporate legal work. Assist with state law compliance,. Perform legal research on a variety of topics. Assist with the development and presentation of staff trainings. Assist in the development of staff toolkits, policies, and processes. Assist in the preparation for board and committee meetings. Observe and participate in internal meetings with program staff. Assist in developing company’s strategic plan, Work across the organizational matrix to help streamline data collection and reporting. Assist with development of company’s annual report. Assist in contract negotiation and execution of company sponsorships. Assist with other special projects as requested by the corporate team. Perform administrative work, as necessary, including managing the legal filing system.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate must be Currently an enrolled law student. Should have outstanding research and writing skills. Must have effective communications skills. Should have Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel. Interest and experience in clean energy preferred.
