Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Legal Assistants Duties: File review and setup. Suit Document Preparation. Calendar/Hearing Review/Setting Court Dates and Mediations. Client communication and system Updates. Court Docket Review. Contested and Foreclosure Fee Requests and Invoicing. Foreclosure Billing. Maintain bankruptcy case records. Check PACER docket daily for case review. Prepare motions, POC’s Affidavits and Notices. Process appeals conversions, case transfers and other issues.

Qualification and Experience

Requirements: High School Degree or equivalent required; higher education degree a plus. should have 1+ year of Law Firm experience in mortgage foreclosure or experience processing Chapter 7 and 13 cases for creditors. Experience with vendor platforms such as BKFS, Lenstar, Vendorscape, Equator, and ResNet. Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Internet and Outlook. Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills. Must be responsible, reliable, detail oriented and capable of working in a team environment.
