Profile

Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation Associate
The candidate should have 3-6 years of experience in bankruptcy practice and commercial litigation. Should have significant law firm experience with all aspects of discovery and law and motion practice. This position will offer the candidate opportunities to work on chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, bankruptcy law and motion practice, contested matters and adversary proceedings, and commercial litigation. A distinguished academic record and exceptional research, writing and verbal communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will have strong public speaking and advocacy skills. Bankruptcy clerkship experience is a plus. Must be a current, active member of the State Bar of California.

Pros : The pay was above what I expected starting out in my career. I was able to work on a variety of projects and stayed busy.
Cons : They don't see the effort one puts forth as an individual. One of the individuals on my team was a real slacker, but he got just as much recognition on the project as the rest of us who were putting in a couple extra hours.
