Litigation - General (consumer)

Labor & Employment Paralegal Duties: Assist attorneys with complex litigation matters. Assist in all phases of discovery and trial and arbitration preparation. Assist with document reviews, large document productions, deposition preparation and trial exhibits. Draft privilege logs and deposition summaries. Preparation of witness files, subpoenas, indexes. Review of testimony for relevance to specific facts or issues. Assist in creating and maintaining databases in Excel, CaseMap, Relativity, Summation and Trial Director, or similar software programs, for use in the management of complex litigation and large discovery matters. Retrieve and organize data for memorandum of costs and reply briefs. Write, edit and finalize correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents. Document organization, analysis and case outlining. Legal and factual research and writing. Cite checking. Proofread documents and check for appropriate legal terminology, formatting, spelling and grammar. Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred. Labor and Employment experience preferred. 5+ years of paralegal experience in a litigation environment. Trial support experience a plus. Experience in the use of Excel, Relativity, CaseMap, Ringtail, Summation and Trial Director or similar litigation support tools. Experience with an online Internet based document repository strongly desired. Internet research skills including Westlaw and LexisNexis preferred. Familiarity with Carpe Diem or similar time entry technology desired.
